Principal for Lindisfarne College of Theology
Lindisfarne College of Theology is the Church of England’s non-residential theological college in the North East of England. It is a vibrant, diverse and earthy Christian community of formation, true to our region. We train ordinands, lay ministers and independent students for a wide range of roles in the Church, classic and pioneering.
We are looking for a Principal who will relish this inheritance and lead the College into an innovative and collaborative future. Starting date for the post will be 1st September 2024.
Our Principal will be a person of deep faith, pastorally sensitive and robust, able to think, teach and write at both a high and an accessible academic level, comfortable with the breadth of Anglican traditions, supportive of Lindisfarne’s inclusive ethos, in licensed Anglican ministry, and above all passionate about seeing the Church flourish in the varied contexts of the North East.
The post is full-time, on the Lichfield scale with a housing allowance. Teaching is in centres in both Newcastle and Durham. The successful candidate will be licensed to the dioceses of Durham and Newcastle.
Closing date for applications: Monday 12th February.
Interviews: Thursday 29th February in Durham with an informal evening with staff and students on 28th February.
