Seminars, Study, Snow
Lindisfarne’s training weekend 8-10 January went ahead as planned despite the terrible weather. On the Saturday morning we were treated to a lecture by Andrew Barr, a former senior BBC and ITV producer, on the relationship between Broadcasters and the Church. This raised some important issues and provided much food for thought. One of the lecture’s outcomes is our intention to provide Lindisfarne’s public ministry students with some hands on, professionally led training in media presentation.
The rest of the weekend was taken up with module teaching and with in depth Bible study, and concluded with worship at which students from a range of previous courses were awarded their University Parchments and academic hoods.
One participant wrote:
“I loved the lecture; the module work on Mission; the Bible study; a chance to unwind together, to pause and think the content through.”
