Prayer and worship are at the heart of how we live as a community – this is the first thing we do every time we gather together.

We pray:

  • whenever we meet to study.
  • following the pattern of Daily Prayer – Morning, Midday, Evening and Night Prayer.
  • led by students, chaplains or staff.
  • using a range of resources – including Common Worship, Daily Prayer App, BCP and Celtic Daily Prayer.
  • to experience a range of resources, develop our skills of leading prayer and preaching (at residentials), and to root all our studying and learning in prayer together.

Prayer forms who we are as a community and it is an important part of how we serve God, support one another, and care for our region and the world around us.

We gather at specific times to worship together at the Eucharist:

  • at the start and end of the each academic year.
  • each term as part of our evening teaching sessions.
  • each Sunday when we are residential together.

Our services are shared between staff and students, including guest preachers and presidents at our residentials and retreats. Because we meet together in various locations over the year, we are privileged to celebrate the Eucharist in a range of settings.

Praying and worshipping together roots our community in God. Alongside this, we have a daily prayer diary so that we continue to pray for the life of the college even when we are not gathered together. We would be delighted if you would join us in our prayers today, or in using the diary more regularly. You can access the prayer diary here.
