2026 Ordinations

It was a great joy to celebrate with our two dioceses this past weekend as 16 LCT students were ordained, either as deacon or priest, across four services in the two dioceses. Many staff and students turned out to support them – and you can find a whole range of pictures celebrating the newly ordained on our College Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LindisfarneCollegeofTheology – do follow us), as well as on the diocesan websites.

Our pictures here are of the Durham deacons (8 of the 9 were from LCT, ordained by Bishop Rick) and the Newcastle priests (3 of the 4 were from LCT, along with Yvonne, our distinctive deacon from last year, who deaconed at the service with Bishop Mark).

It is central to our life and work as a College that everything we do is in service to the mission and ministry of our two dioceses, and the summer ordinations are one of the highlights of our year in seeing this in action. We will be back in the cathedrals next for the Autumn Lay Ministry licensing and authorisation services for Readers and others.
